Introduction to Nick Joyce Architects LLP
Nick Joyce Architects LLP works mainly within the West Midlands area specialising in historic buildings, which makes up 95% of the workload.
The practice provides regional technical advice to the Ancient Monuments Society, the SPAB and the Georgian Group and continues to provide conservation advice to Redditch District Council.
Nick Joyce is church architect for many local churches in the West Midlands region, and also an AABC accredited architect.
We work on historic building projects which have been granted aided by the Heritage Lottery Fund, English Heritage Joint Scheme, English Heritage Section 3A Funding and the Sports Lottery, and DEFRA. We work directly for Local Authorities, English Heritage and the National Trust.
We provide architectural advice to many owners of listed buildings of different construction (timber-framed, brick, stone, rendered etc), including detailed survey work, preparation of sketch designs, planning and listed building consent applications, building regulations applications, detailed design and production information to obtain competitive builders quotes, preparation and administration of building contracts between the building owner and contractor, and inspection/cost control of work on site.
We also undertake work for speculative development, and new-build projects for developers including residential, retail and commercial.
